Even in today's fast-paced society, I think letter writing is still an important component in our communication. Here are some reasons:
Letter writing requires ideas
As opposed to texting or talking on the phone, letter writing gives the writer time to think about the material they are writing. One of the best features when it comes to writing letters is being able to sit down and process your thoughts before putting pen to paper. For someone like me who's not quick on my feet, writing a letter provides enough time to make sure I'm saying exactly what I want to say. If I make a mistake, I can finish my idea and start all over again!

Through letters, we convey our feelings and our thoughts to a person in writing through words. Today the promotion of high speed devices to convey our feelings and thoughts to others is increasing very fast. In such a situation, the need to write a letter is much less nowadays than before. Still, there is a need to write letters to your special people, relatives, friends and government work.
Letter writing is an art. It is a kind of skill to convey your ideas in a concise manner effectively using language according to the subject. Till now we used to use envelopes to send letters and write the name and address of the sender on it. Envelopes are no longer required in letters sent by e-mail. Therefore, the name, address and e-mail ID of the sender and recipient of the letter has to be written in the letter itself.
